Concern for the ecology
Uruguay ranks third in the world in the Environmental Sustainability Index. There
is a Ministry appointed for that purpose. A mild climate, limited pollution,
the exent of health services, and the high quality of medical care result in
a healthy environment for the population.
Social concern
The whole industry and especially the textile, clothing and knitwear industries
have historically observed labor regulations by ILO, of which Uruguay is
a founding member.
Tradition
Its long tradition of exporting textiles, clothing and knitwear, has turned
Uruguay into a regional leader. A skillful workforce is always opened to
the use of new techniques and equipment.
The companies affiliated at Tez concept, are commited to a strict conduct code and have contributed to building the leadership position of Uruguay in the wool apparel industry.
